Worthing Thunder are pleased to announce that Brendan Okoronkwo will return for his sixth season for the club.

Club captain Brendan was the first player to lift silverware for the club for 12 years and his enthusiasm and commitment on court is obvious for all to see.

Brendan, regarded as one of the top British guards in the country leads by example both on and off court and his work ethic and energy will, we hope, contribute to further success next year.

Player/coach Josh Goddard said: “Being able to bring back a key player of last years core group is a coaches dream. Brendan played an integral role last season, not only through the extensive minutes on the court but also as a leader of the team. His ability to play multiple positions as well as guard them is something that allowed us to be as successful as we were and will allow us to pick up from where we left of last season.”

Brendan added: “It was a no brainer to return this season, we’re building something special and that’s how we’ve attracted the level of players we have for the season.

“Building on last years success, I will continue to bring energy, a voice and leadership to make sure we keep the momentum going right from the first game.

“More importantly we want to put on a show for the Thunder gang. We have the loudest, proudest, most dedicated fans in the league and they deserve not only a winning team, but a team worth coming to watch each week.”
