Worthing Thunder returned to winning ways with a convincing 104-86 victory over Essex Leopards in front of a noisy and enthusiastic crowd at Worthing Leisure Centre. Thunder started strongly; storming into a 27-14 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back throughout the game. At half time, Thunder’s lead was reduced to 12, but after the break their superiority was restored as they finished the quarter strongly and at the break lead by 18 points (81-63).

Although Essex fought back to reduce the margin to just 6 points, Thunder were not to be outdone and eventually finished victors by 18 points.

Barkers of Tarring Man of the Match, Zaire Taylor, hit 38 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. He was ably supported by Alex Owumi (23 points, 14 rebounds) and Brendan Okoronkwo (18 points, 10 rebounds).
