Worthing Thunder stormed to a stunning fourth-quarter victory after coming back from a 10-point deficit at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Lead by Barkers of Tarring Man of the Match, Zaire Taylor, who hit 15 points in the last period, Thunder pulled an unlikely victory from a game, which at one time they looked as though they would struggle to win.
The first two quarters were an evenly matched affair; with Thunder ending the first period leading by just 2 points and Nottingham going into the locker room at half time by the same margin.
It was the visitors who appeared to have broken the game open with a 24-16 third period score, leaving Thunder trailing by 10 with just one period to play. Thunder stepped up their defence and intensity in the final session with Zaire Taylor hitting baskets at will and with the crowd becoming increasingly vocal, Thunder battled back to see the game home, turning a 10-point losing margin, into a 9 point victory; winning the quarter 33-14.
Top scorers were Zaire Taylor with 30 points, Alex Owumi with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Jorge Ebanks with 18 points and 10 assists and Brendan Okoronkwo with 15 points.
