Worthing Thunder are pleased to announce and welcome to the South Coast the signing of point guard Kayne King.
King played last season with Derby Trailblazers in the NBL Division 1 where he played a massive role in the clubs success.
Over the last two seasons King has led the NBL in assist per game, It’s stats like that, that earned him the nickname Kayne ‘The Assist’ King.
Director of Basketball Zaire Taylor says “Kayne was definitely one of the better point guards in the league last season, and his playmaking ability and willingness to create for his teammates makes him a perfect fit for two players like Alex Owumi and myself, as good as he been last season I feel like he’s only shown 50% of the player he’s capable of being.”
Kayne Commented on his arrival to the South “I’m Really excited for a new start down in Worthing, great news to see both Zaire and Alex have signed, also the fans down in Worthing have always been great. I feel my style of play will allow me to fit in quite easy with the team. I’m really looking forward to having a competitive winning season, with trophy success, finishing 2nd in the league and runners up in the playoffs this past season, really looking on winning some silverware.”
Stay tuned tomorrow as we announce two more signings. Here’s a hint one is another new edition, and the other will be a returning talent.
