Worthing Thunder continued with their impressive pre-season programme with a comprehensive 117-79 victory over visitors Essex and Herts Leopards in front of another good home crowd.

 

In a match where six Thunder players hit double figures, Thunder turned in a good all-round team performance hitting 15-three pointers from outside the arc. Youngster, Cameron Hildreth, had another excellent game scoring 17 points carrying on from where he left off last week. Kayne King also impressed hitting 16 points to go with his 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Zaire Taylor also chipped in with another double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Tom Ward playing his first game of the season scored 23 points; scoring 5 from 7 from outside the arc.

 

Top scorers for Thunder were Alex Owumi (24 points); Tom Ward (23 points); Cameron Hildreth (17 points); Kayne King (16 points); Zaire Taylor (14 points); Ishmael Fontaine (13 points).

 

Thunder open their League campaign in their next home game against Barking Abbey on Saturday 28th September, tip-off 7.30 pm.
