Worthing Thunder picked up another two points in their Division One Campaign after a comprehensive on-the-road 102-84 victory at Essex and Herts Leopards.
In a game which Thunder dominated from tip to buzzer and which saw eight Thunder players contribute points to the team’s success, the visitors were never in trouble throughout the game. At the end of the first quarter Thunder were ahead by 7 points (24 – 17) and as the game progressed through to the half-time break Thunder had pushed out the lead to 13 points (49-36).
With Thunder rotating their squad and recent signing AJ Basi again impressing scoring freely throughout the match, the visitors maintained a firm control over the game.
After the teams returned from the locker room it was more of the same with Thunder keeping a comfortable lead and the eventual result never looking to be in any danger. Although the Leopards did not fall further behind in the third quarter another dominant period from Thunder which they won 28-22 saw Thunder take the spoils with a 18 point margin (102-84).
