Alex Owumi has played his last professional basketball game and although it wasn’t the end of the season we would of hoped for him and hoped he was playing his final game at Worthing in front of the best fans in the league along with some Worcester fans coming down to say goodbye; however it isn’t goodbye to Alex when it comes to Worthing Thunder and British Basketball as we welcome Alex onto the ownership group at Worthing Thunder
Alex has had a fantastic career ranging various countries and different teams in England that he will now take his basketball direction a different route as he joins the ownership group
Alex Owumi commented: “I’m really excited about joining the ownership group of the Worthing Thunder.
The club have made strides in the last couple years and when Zaire approached me with the opportunity I thought it would be a great fit.
The future for the club all around is bright and looking forward to the start of next season.”
Zaire Taylor commented:
“I know Alex will be a great addition. He brings a lot to the table that will push Worthing Thunder to the next level.
However more importantly for me it’s about loyalty, Spending the last two seasons here he’s done a lot to get this club to where it is now, so to me the move made perfect sense.”
