Worthing Thunder are pleased to announce the first signing of the new season, 6’4” American Guard Elijah Maynard.

Last season, Elijah averaged 12.7 points per game playing for Reading Rockets.

We look forward to having Elijah at Worthing this season.

Elijah commented: “I want to thank God first for this opportunity to continue my playing career, and I can’t wait to meet the Worthing Thunder community. We’re going to have a lot of fun this year. Let’s go Thunder!”

Zaire commented: “Maynard was the second leading scorer on a Reading Rockets team that finished 4th in the league, making it to two finals appearances last season. His versatility on the defensive end, being able to guard 4 positions, will help the team massively on that side of the ball. Aside from being a great talent on the court, he was a great junior coach for the Rockets last season as well, and looks forward to integrating himself into the the Thunder community and working with the junior program”
