Thunder sign EABL champ Lewis Gleason

Worthing Thunder are pleased to announce the signing of Lewis Gleason to the roster for the 2024/25 season.

Lewis, who played for Worthing at the recent Thunder Select game, is a current EABL champion, scoring 14 points in the final, as Charnwood defeated CoLA.

Gleason commented: “I can’t wait to get started playing for the Thunder franchise again. I am grateful for the opportunity that Coach Deacon has given me and am super excited for the season ahead.”

Head Coach Brian Deacon commented: “Lewis joins us fresh off a college finals win with Charnwood in the EABL, which in itself shows his credentials, and at 19 years old he adds some youth to the team. I have been lucky enough to have coached him on and off since he was 9 years old and it’s great that we can demonstrate to our Junior programme that there is a pathway through to the senior men if they work hard. Lewis certainly has that work ethic.”

You can catch Lewis in action in preseason and KitKing Trophy games in September. Tickets are available online now.
