Thunder re-sign NBL1 all‑time leading scorer Bode Adeluola
Although Worthing Thunder didn’t have much team success last season, Bode Adeluola had a strong season himself. Worthing Thunder fans don’t need to be reminded of his first time in a Thunder kit, as he went off for 40 points and a game-winning shot, or the streak of games he ended the season with where he helped spark life back into the club to give us a shot at the playoffs.
Adeluola is a champion, veteran, leader, as well as the all-time leading scorer in the history of NBL 1. He’s not only a scorer but a very effective play‑maker, many times throughout his career finishing in the top 10 in assists .
GM Zaire Taylor stated:
“Bode Adeluola won championships, lost championships. Bode Is the league’s all‑time leading scorer, while deciding to play for a couple of different teams in the league. He is respected by his peers, he is a leader. Sounds like the British LeBron James. Maybe not in stature, but what he doesn’t have in size he has in heart, and dedication toward his craft. He is our captain and our leader, and we would not be able to make the push we are looking for up the standings without him.”
