Thunder Sign C/PF Troy McIndoe
Worthing Thunder are pleased to announce the signing of Troy McIndoe, a physical and efficient frontcourt presence who joins the squad for the 2025–26 season.
McIndoe began the 2024–25 campaign with the Milton Keynes Breakers, starting in 5 of his 11 games and shooting an impressive 62% from the field and a perfect 100% from the free-throw line. His efficiency and physicality were clear assets. Later in the season, he moved to the London Cavaliers, where he continued his efficient scoring and, despite averaging just 16 minutes per game, led the team in offensive rebounds with 2.7 per contest.
Head Coach Gary Smith shared high praise for the new signing:
“Troy is a big, strong, physical player who brings another real presence in the post. He adds toughness and grit—qualities that translate to winning basketball. He may not have the MVP awards or accolades that some of our other signings do, but in my eyes, he was the missing piece last season. I’ll go on record to say that if Troy had been on the Thunder roster last year, we would’ve jumped halfway up the table. I told Zaire I wanted him, and I’m glad they got the deal done.”
Troy McIndoe also shared his thoughts on joining the Thunder:
“I’m incredibly grateful to Zaire for giving me this opportunity. He’s built a tough team full of heart, passion, and genuine talent. I’m excited to get started and to be joining a squad that shares my drive for success.
Playing at Worthing has always felt special—the fans bring such incredible energy and a deep appreciation for the game. It’s a place where basketball truly comes alive.
My focus is simple: winning. I’m prepared to give everything to help push this team over the line.
This marks the beginning of something exciting. Let’s enjoy the journey together—and make it unforgettable.”
With McIndoe’s addition, Worthing Thunder bolster their interior strength and continue to build a roster ready to contend for titles in the upcoming season.
