Thunder sign former Junior Alfie Price to Men’s squad

Worthing Thunder are delighted to announce that Alfie Price will be returning to the club for the new season. A product of the Thunder Junior Programme, Price gained valuable experience last year, splitting his time between the U18 squad and several appearances with the Men’s team.

General Manager Zaire Taylor expressed his excitement about Price’s return:

“We’re extremely excited to welcome Alfie back. Year after year, his game has continued to grow within our Junior programme. We’re proud to have supported his development—but make no mistake, the hard work was all his.

One of the highlights of last season was seeing Alfie come off the bench, score an instant five points, and send the crowd into a frenzy.

Alfie will be attending Chichester University this year, competing for their team while being a full-time member of our Thunder roster.”

Price himself spoke of his gratitude for the opportunity:

“I’m so thankful to be playing with Thunder for another season. Praise be to God, and thank you to all the coaches who have shaped me mentally and physically—from starting out as one of the less prominent players on a Thunder U16 second team to now being blessed with opportunities to play for both the BCB and NBL D2 teams, as well as Chichester University.

I hope other players can see this and know that if you stay determined and put in the work, it really does pay off. I can’t wait to see you all this season.”

With a talented roster around him, training and competing at a high level will give Price an excellent opportunity to further develop his skills and basketball IQ this year.
